With warmth, honesty, and hope, Lester Lion Loses Grandpa shows that while we may not be able to see or hug our loved ones anymore, their memory—and their love—can live forever in our hearts.
Donna M. Cramer is a retired special education teacher from Massachusetts who spent over 20 years working with young students with special needs, from preschool through first grade. Her teaching career was cut short by a life-altering brain injury sustained at school, leading to an early retirement. Donna has always had a passion for writing and is now pursuing that dream through a series of children’s books aimed at helping young readers navigate difficult emotions—including understanding and processing death. She stays active by writing, practicing yoga, and walking along the beach. Donna lives with her husband and their two beloved Maine Coon cats.
