Publication Date: April 28, 2026
Paperback
4th book in the Lester Lion Series
Lucy is a liger, part lion, part tiger, and she just wants to belong.
But at school, things aren’t so simple. The tigers say she’s too different. The lions say she doesn’t fit. No matter where Lucy goes, she hears the same hurtful words: “You can’t play.”
Even when she tries her best, on the playground, in the classroom, and at lunch, Lucy feels left out and alone.
Then one quiet lion named Lester shows her something important…
Friendship doesn’t come from being the same, it comes from being kind.
In this heartwarming story about courage, kindness, and being yourself, young readers will discover that what makes us different is also what makes us special, and that true friends see you for who you really are.
Perfect for parents, grandparents, and caregivers to share, this book opens the door to meaningful conversations about inclusion, empathy, and friendship.
